Livia Moscati earned a bachelors degree in Veterinary Medicine at the University at the University of Milan in 1985 and a master in Clinical Biochemistry and Veterinary Laboratory Medicine in 2006. She has worked for the Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale dell' Umbria e delle Marche since 1987. In 2000 she became the Director of the Laboratory of Serology. Since 2005 she has been Director of the Laboratory of Animal Welfare, where she manages all the activity related to animal welfare: haematological parameters, immunological parameters and clinical biochemistry.

Lorenzo Battistacci earned a bachelors degree in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Perugia in 1973 and specialized in Animal Healt in 2000. Is has worked for the Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale dell' Umbria e delle Marche since 1975. He had the direction of the Department of Animal Healt and Animal Welfare in 2000. Since 2005 he was the Director of the Department of Infectious Disease.

Marco Sensi earned a bachelors degree in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Perugia in 1981 and a Specialization in Animal Health in 2004. He spent roughly 20 years working with pigs for three different companies (two international pig hybrid companies and a feed company, achieving a lot of experience in every aspect of pig breeding. He is working for the Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale dell' Umbria e delle Marche, in Animal Health Diagnostics Department, since 2001. He is collaborating with Animal Welfare Department, too.

Monica Timi taken on 1987 a Chemical and Biological Diploma at Professional Institute of Perugia.
She has worked for the Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale dell'Umbria e delle Marche from 1991.
Since 2001 she works in the Laboratory of Animal Welfare, where she manages all the activity related to animal welfare: haematological parameters, immunological parameters and clinical biochemistry.
